Dairy, fatty, and sugary foods contribute to acne
Chances are, a diet rich in these foods increases the propensity for inflammation and affects the level of hormones in the blood.

Consumption of milk, sugary drinks, sports drinks, fatty and sugary foods are linked to acne, a study published in JAMA Dermatology found.
Scientists included in the analysis data from about 25 thousand adults in France who participated in a large study from 2009 to 2018. During this time period, they gave detailed reports on their diet several times.
People who had acne during the study ate significantly more milk, milk chocolate, fast food, sugary foods, and snacks than people without acne. At the same time, they ate significantly less meat, fish, vegetables and fruits.
Scientists speculate that one reason for this link is the effect of a high sugar diet on blood levels of hormones and other substances that cause oxidative stress and inflammation. These processes can potentially lead to acne.
The study's authors believe that it should help change dermatologists' understanding of the relationship between chocolate, sweets and blackheads.
"This is an important study that adds new evidence that certain dietary patterns may be an independent factor in acne in some people," Dr. Rajani Katta, a spokesman for the American Dermatological Association, who was not involved in the study, told CNN.
