Rehabilitation program after COVID-19 starts in Pirogovka worth from 31,200 rubles

Patients will recover from coronavirus pneumonia with magnetotherapy, inhalation therapy, and chest percussion massage.

According to the Pirogov Center, the rehabilitation program was drawn up on the basis of requests from patients who have had pneumonia against the background of COVID-19. The complex of examination and restorative procedures is prescribed individually, taking into account the severity of the disease and concomitant pathology.

“Even a mild course of pneumonia caused by COVID-19 can leave negative consequences for the body. Most often they are felt by the patient's respiratory system. The course of viral pneumonia, as a rule, is accompanied by respiratory failure, and in the future, the transferred illness entails rapid fatigue, decreased performance, problems with the cardiovascular system and a general decrease in the quality of life,”the medical center said.

A preliminary comprehensive examination includes initial consultations with a therapist and physiotherapist, pulse oximetry, computed tomography of the chest organs, spirography, ECG and a set of laboratory tests. The cost of such an examination will be 15,120 rubles, the center will specify.

A standard comprehensive program, which will cost the patient 31,200 rubles, includes a preliminary examination, as well as magnetotherapy, inhalation and percussion chest massage.

Doctors also warn that patients who have had coronavirus pneumonia may have contraindications to some procedures, in which case they need an individual rehabilitation program.
