As MedPortal was told in the Clear Morning service, medical workers can get free psychological counseling by calling the anonymous hotline at 8-800-100-01-91. The hotline works around the clock.

“A large number of critically ill patients, the lack of verified treatment practices, the need to stay in protective suits and masks for a long time, organizational difficulties in re-profiling hospitals and deploying new beds, lack of protective equipment, the need to isolate themselves from loved ones, death of patients - all this is a daily reality of our doctors.

In such working conditions, rapid processes of professional burnout, emotional and physical exhaustion are inevitable, which are manifested by the growth of neurotic, anxiety, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, somatic disorders, and self-injurious behavior,”write the service specialists.

They also clarified that assistance to cancer patients and their loved ones will be provided in the same volume.

Since 2007, the Clear Morning service has been operating a hotline for cancer patients at 8,800,100,0191. Each month, specialists process up to 3,000 messages from Russians who are faced with this difficult diagnosis. The service also conducts face-to-face consultations for patients and conducts refresher courses for psychologists who work with cancer patients.
