The Ministry of Emergencies told how not to eat chips and crackers during the coronavirus epidemic
The Research Institute under the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued recommendations to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
“The risk of transmission of infection increases if you eat from dishes or common packages from which other people took food with their hands, for example, chips, nuts, crackers and other snacks,” the recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations say.
The agency also recommends that you rarely touch any surfaces and objects in public places and advise you to use hand sanitizers more often. It is also recommended to keep 1-2 packs of disposable wipes with you and always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. “A used napkin should be thrown away immediately, do not reuse it,” says the recommendations.
Earlier, rescuers urged Russians not to wear a protective mask on the street in order to breathe fresh air if possible. Protection is necessary in crowded places: in shops, pharmacies, on public transport. The mask is also necessary when caring for loved ones who are sick with SARS or have symptoms of COVID-19, the Ministry of Emergencies said.
