On his Facebook page, doctor Anton Rodionov wrote about the specifics of receiving patients with COVID pneumonia. According to him, the work of doctors is hampered by the massive admission of patients, often in serious condition, so it is very difficult to quickly obtain information on diagnoses and medications taken. He urged everyone who is at risk for age or chronic diseases to prepare in advance for a possible hospitalization.

“If you have chronic diseases, write down on ONE page a list of your diagnoses (by discharge) and a list of regularly taken medications with doses on ONE page. This will greatly help the doctors in the department, in particular, it will allow them to calculate the risk of drug interactions. Prepare all the medicines in advance with a 3-4 week supply in order to take them with you to the hospital,”Rodionov writes.

Earlier, the representative of the Ministry of Health Olga Tkacheva said that in addition to the elderly, patients suffering from chronic diseases - diabetes, obesity, bronchitis, bronchial asthma and cardiovascular diseases - are at risk for COVID-19.
