The United States has recorded the first case of novel coronavirus pneumonia, the spread of which has so far been limited to Southeast Asia.

The United States has recorded the first case of novel coronavirus pneumonia, the spread of which has so far been limited to Southeast Asia. This is reported by NewYorkTimes with reference to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The disease caused by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was diagnosed in a man in Washington state on Tuesday January 21st. The patient arrived from Wuhan at Seattle airport on January 15, before the start of screening for coronavirus infection at US airports.
The infected man is a resident of Snohomish Country, Washington. He developed symptoms after returning from a trip to the region of China, in which plowing of new pneumonia was first recorded. At the time of his return to the United States, he had not yet developed manifestations of the disease.
CDC reports that the case is not serious, the patient's condition is satisfactory. Medical professionals are now identifying people with whom the sick person came into contact.
The US government plans to expand screening for passengers arriving in the US from Wuhan at five major international airports. All flights from the region with which the first plowing of the disease is associated is planned to these airports.
The first cases of the disease were recorded in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. Later it became known that a previously unknown type of pneumonia causes a new type of coronavirus.
Now, as a result of the disease, 6 people have died, about 300 cases of the disease have been registered in China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Macau, and the USA. Scientists have found that the transmission of the new coronavirus from person to person is possible.
