Employees of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the N.N. N.N. Blokhin”are threatened with mass dismissal if their demands are not met, including a change of leadership. They talked about this in a video message that appeared on the YouTube channel and the website of the Alliance of Doctors.

Representatives of the research institute staff made claims related to poor working conditions, systematic delays in the commissioning of new buildings of the institute, and non-transparent distribution of wages. In their opinion, the leadership is completely occupied with the "apparatus struggle", placing loyal people everywhere, which affects the state of the existing labor collective.

“Without creating anything new, the newly arrived leadership destroys what has been achieved, destabilizing the work of the entire oncological service in the country, endangering the lives of children,” the doctors said.

Employees accuse management of forcing prominent oncologists to resign. Among those who had to leave the institute was the founder of the country's first bone marrow transplant department, Georgy Lyudomirovich Mentkevich.

Doctors declare their readiness to resign if their requirements are not met:

removal of the newly appointed management of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology;

• reasonable and transparent distribution of wages;
• audit of the construction of new buildings of the institute.

“We appealed to all representatives of the authorities, but no one heard us. Now we are addressing all Russian citizens, colleagues, patients and their parents with a request to support us,”the children's oncologists conclude their appeal.
