All-Russian Union of insurers: it is impossible to monetize insurance premiums under the compulsory medical insurance policy
No payments under the compulsory medical insurance policy for unused insured events are not provided for by law. Insurance premiums for compulsory medical insurance are not accumulated on a person's personal account (there is no such account), but are accumulated in the federal compulsory medical insurance fund to pay for treatment. Therefore, offers to return unspent funds are fraudulent, which must be reported to law enforcement agencies.

The country continues to spread proposals "to receive payment for unused funds under the policy of compulsory health insurance", remind in the All-Russian Union of Insurers. Fraudsters use phone calls, e-mail, instant messengers, advertising on the Internet, social networks and applications, offering to return insurance premiums under the compulsory medical insurance policy. Citizens are advised to go to the websites of non-existent organizations, fill out a form and find out the amount of funds that can allegedly be returned under the law.
After a person enters personal data, the refund amount is displayed on the screen, which sometimes reaches several hundred thousand rubles. But in order to get it, people are offered to enter their bank card details and pay the registration fee. At first, it is several hundred rubles, the amount seems insignificant, but there may be many such contributions, and it is proposed to pay them one by one. Often, before they realize that they have become victims of cybercriminals, people leave several thousand rubles on such sites. Moreover, later, attackers can withdraw even larger amounts using the bank card details specified by gullible citizens.
