The famous Doctor Lisa is on the list of the victims of the Tu-154 crash in the Black Sea

On the morning of Sunday, December 25, the flight of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which was flying from Moscow to Latakia, Syria, did not get in touch. This happened at 5.40 am, just 20 minutes after the start of the flight. Tu-154 refueled in Sochi and soon after takeoff, not having time to gain altitude, fell into the Black Sea. Onboard there were 83 passengers and 8 crew members. Among the passengers were members of the Alexandrov ensemble, who flew to congratulate the Russian military on the upcoming holidays, representatives of the press, as well as human rights activist, resuscitation doctor, specialist in street and palliative medicine Elizaveta Glinka, known in Runet as Doctor Liza. She accompanied a shipment of medicines for one of the hospitals in Latakia.

Dr. Liza received her second degree in palliative medicine in 1991 and worked closely with hospices, founding the first hospice in Kiev, and for several years collaborated with the First Moscow Hospice. The doctor helped the dying and homeless, the Fair Help Foundation, founded by her, fed, clothed, treated, helped with documents and buried “homeless persons” in Moscow. Elizaveta Glinka was also involved in other activities, including, since 2015, providing medical assistance and bringing medicines to Syrian residents who suffered during the war. The fact that she had died nevertheless became known only in the middle of the day on Sunday, before that there was no exact information - there were suggestions that the doctor did not make it to the special board. They were not confirmed. Sergei Shoigu saidthat one of the medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense will be named after Elizaveta Glinka.

In addition to Doctor Liza, singers and musicians from the A. V. Aleksandrov Twice Red Banner Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army, headed by its leader, Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov, were killed. Also in the list published by the Ministry of Defense, media personnel are indicated.

Today is declared a day of mourning for those killed in the plane crash. Specialists from various departments continue to work at the crash site. A genetic examination will be carried out to identify the dead.
