A resident of Bashkiria died at the Ufa airport shortly after arriving from Antalya. According to preliminary data, a 50-year-old woman was denied medical assistance in Turkey. The Investigative Committee is conducting a check, according to the website of the Volga Investigative Directorate of Transport.

In the afternoon of August 25, the crew of the plane flying from Antalya to Ufa reported that the passenger was in serious condition on board. After landing, the woman was immediately taken to the airport health center, where an ambulance resuscitation team was called. However, resuscitation measures did not give any result, the woman died.

The husband of the deceased passenger said that his wife had had oncology and group II disability since 2007. Last week, they flew to Turkey on vacation. Two days later, “my wife became ill and had nosebleeds. Due to the fact that medical assistance was not provided in Antalya, they urgently flew from Turkey to Ufa,”the Volga Transport Investigation Department said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transport are clarifying the circumstances of the death of another passenger at the airport. 24-year-old Artem Chechikov fell ill during the flight from Barcelona to Chelyabinsk. The plane urgently landed at the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. However, according to eyewitness reports, medical assistance had to wait an hour and a half, and the passenger died.

Let us also remind that Russia and Turkey have recently agreed on joint protection of tourists' health. The countries have signed a memorandum to help fight infectious diseases and protect the health of Russians vacationing in Turkish resorts.
