Doctors found psychotropic substances in the blood of children who were poisoned in a private kindergarten in Irkutsk. On August 13, one girl died, the rest of the children were hospitalized with acute poisoning. Now the nanny faces up to six years in prison under the article "Providing services that do not meet security requirements," the Investigative Committee said today.

The kindergarten was not registered and was not controlled by the supervisory authorities, says ITAR-TASS. There were 10 children under the supervision of a nanny, ranging in age from one and four months to 3.5 years. One of the girls died during an afternoon nap. The investigation established that death occurred from acute toxic damage of unknown etiology.

Several more children were admitted to the hospital on the same day with symptoms of poisoning. Psychotropic substances were found in their blood. It is assumed that the woman gave her wards the drugs to keep them calm. What kind of drugs they were is not specified.

On the eve of the Investigative Committee asked to take the suspect into custody. However, the court refused the arrest, citing the positive characteristics of the nanny and the fact that she herself has minor children.
