In the clinical maternity hospital No. 6 in the city of Omsk, violations of federal legislation were revealed in the provision of medical care to patients. As it was established during the examination of the complaint received by the prosecutor's office, the doctors of the maternity hospital recommended that women use paid medical services, without providing information that they are also available under the state program.

In the clinical maternity hospital No. 6 of the city of Omsk, violations of federal legislation were revealed in the provision of medical care to patients. As it was established during the verification of the complaint received by the prosecutor's office, the doctors of the maternity hospital recommended that women use paid medical services, without providing information that they are available under the state program, OMSKINFORM reports.

The check confirmed the facts that were stated in the complaint of a resident of Omsk.

“The check showed that the hospital doctors recommended their patients to use the medical services provided by the hospital within the framework of voluntary medical insurance by the insurance company Kupecheskoye Insurance Company LLC. In violation of the law, when concluding contracts, patients were not provided in an accessible form with information about the possibility of obtaining the appropriate types and volumes of free medical care under the state program,”the press service of the supervisory agency said.

As a result, medical services under the insurance contract were practically provided to patients according to the doctor's prescription, and not depending on their wishes.

The prosecutor's office made a submission to the chief physician of the clinical maternity hospital No. 6 with a demand to eliminate the revealed violations of the law.
