Izhevsk doctors [outraged by the size of the premium]
The salary increase, which was assigned to Izhevsk doctors after the strike, will only make them angry and may provoke new protests. At the end of June, doctors plan to hold another rally, and then, if during the holidays the authorities of Udmurtia do not change the situation for the better, strikes and hunger strikes will start again.

The salary increase that was assigned to Izhevsk doctors after the strike would only make them angry and could provoke new protests, Tatyana Mazaeva, pediatrician of the city polyclinic # 8, told the Sobesednik newspaper. It should be reminded that about 300 people took part in the "Italian strike" that took place in Izhevsk in the spring because of the discontent with the doctors of the new system of remuneration for their labor. After this and several subsequent protests, the authorities decided to increase the salaries of all doctors in Udmurtia from July 1.
According to statistics, the average salary of a doctor in the region is about 25 thousand rubles, nursing staff - 14, junior - about 8. “This money is received together with all the processing, combining several sections, different allowances,” said Tatyana Mazaeva, the organizer of the strike. - But my salary is 4600 rubles. That is, a 15% increase is 690 rubles. Considering that from July 1, we will increase the payment for housing and communal services and travel, one can only laugh at this handout. We asked for a 2–3-fold increase in salary, and such an insignificant increase would simply anger many”.
At the end of June, doctors plan to hold another rally, and then, if the situation does not change during the holidays, strikes and hunger strikes will start again.
Recall that on December 22 last year, near the presidential palace, Izhevsk doctors staged a picket, at which they announced their refusal to work in additional areas, and also demanded that the authorities improve their working conditions and provide adequate wage increments. In February of this year, rallies against the destruction of healthcare were held in seven Russian cities. Doctors and patients from Moscow, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Izhevsk, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk took to the streets. At the end of March, Izhevsk doctors warned that they were refusing to work in excess of the norm and were preparing an "Italian strike", at the same time they were supported by the head of the National Medical Chamber, Leonid Roshal, who called the salaries of Russian doctors miserable. The "Italian strike" in Izhevsk started on April 2, and the next day the local Ministry of Health threatened the striking doctors with lower wages. The doctors declared an indefinite strike, and on April 17 they also went on a hunger strike, which lasted five days. The reason for its termination was the order of the Ministry of Health, within five days, to eliminate all violations identified in the regional health care and to make all the necessary payments to the regional health workers by May 1.
