Penzhinskaya central regional hospital (Kamchatka Territory) owes its employees four million rubles - doctors have not received their salaries for two months, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reports.
Law enforcement authorities found out that 86 hospital employees did not receive their salaries in December 2012 and January 2013 due to lack of money on the hospital's account. Funds were not received by the health care facility "through the compulsory medical insurance" due to "red tape". The situation was aggravated by the fact that the CRH recently became state-owned - because of this, the old personal account of the medical institution had to be closed, and the hospital administration did not bother to open a new account in a timely manner.
"Debt repayment is possible only after opening accounts and registering a legal entity with the tax service," the statement says. Both the hospital and the acting head physician were filed for an administrative offense.
The management of the Penzhin Central Regional Hospital had previously dealt with the prosecutor's office - the head physician of the hospital hid the facts of late payment of salaries to employees and wage arrears. For numerous violations of labor laws in December last year, the head physician of the Central Regional Hospital was disqualified for 12 months.
In 2012, the restructuring of the local health care system affected the doctors of the Lazovskaya Central Regional Hospital (Primorsky Territory), who had been imprisoned for four months. The accounts of the medical facility were blocked due to arrears on utility bills and tax deductions, formed after four FAPs joined the hospital.
