The conference dedicated to regenerative medicine - a discipline at the intersection of biology, medicine and physics - is held under the auspices of the Russian company 3D bioprinting solutions (CEO Alexander Ostrovsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the INVITRO group of companies), which is engaged in the practical development of reproductive medicine technologies in Russia and is designed to create solutions for people who need organ transplants.

A group of company scientists led by the pioneer of organ printing and biofabrication technology, author of the world's first scientific publication on organ bioprinting, Vladimir Mironov, currently a professor at the Commonwealth University of Virginia, USA, is already working on a technology for 3D printing of organs and tissues from autologous cells. human. Since autologous cells are taken from the patient himself, this technology can solve the problem of immune compatibility, and eventually open up the possibility of obtaining inexpensive organ prototypes and effective methods of tissue replacement.

At the Day of Regenerative Medicine in Skolkovo, Vladimir Mironov will make a presentation on what bioprinting is, what are the unresolved issues of this technology and will tell about the projects already implemented. In particular, about an apparatus for the production of tissue spheroids and a patented technology for the manufacture of vascular prostheses from nano-fibers.

On the same day, other world-renowned scientists will speak at Skolkovo: Anthony Atala, director of the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine, North Carolina, and Paolo Macchiarini from the University of Barcelona.
