The court in the Orenburg region will consider the case of the substitution of children in the maternity hospital of the district hospital, which occurred 37 years ago. According to the plaintiffs, the incident occurred due to the negligence of the medical staff. In this regard, each of the women demanded compensation for moral damage, which is estimated at three million rubles.

A court in the Orenburg region will consider the case of replacing children in a medical facility. According to ITAR-TASS, the incident in the maternity hospital of the Belyaevsk central district hospital took place 37 years ago.
The Belyaevsky district court of the region accepted the claims of two local residents at the end of January 2012. The women announced that they were replaced immediately after birth in 1975. The results of the genetic examination appended to the claims confirm the plaintiffs' words.
The women believe that the substitution occurred as a result of the negligence of the employees of the Belyaevskaya Central Regional Hospital. In this regard, they demanded from the medical institution and the regional administration compensation for moral damage in the amount of three million rubles each.
During the preparatory session, the Belyaevsky court heard the plaintiffs, as well as representatives of the maternity hospital and the district administration. The start of hearings in this case was scheduled for February 21.
In September 2011, a similar claim was filed against a maternity hospital in Kopeisk, Chelyabinsk region. Medical staff confused two children born 12 years ago. The substitution was revealed after the parents of one of the girls decided to divorce. The plaintiffs estimated the damage caused at five million rubles.
