21 conscripts were evacuated to Novosibirsk from the hospital of the missile formation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory by helicopters, who fell ill with severe respiratory diseases. In total, 140 soldiers caught a cold in the military unit of the Strategic Missile Forces, 41 of them had pneumonia. One of the patients died.

21 conscripts were evacuated to Novosibirsk from the hospital of the missile compound in the Krasnoyarsk Territory by helicopters, who fell ill with severe respiratory diseases, RIA Novosti reports.

The reason for the transfer of soldiers to the Novosibirsk military hospital was the fact that this institution has a specialized department for such patients.

"The diagnosis of pneumonia was confirmed in 19 servicemen. Three have a respiratory illness. All are in satisfactory condition. None of those who were delivered to Novosibirsk have a severe form or moderate severity," said a representative of the Central Military District.

According to him, the first patients can be discharged from the hospital in a week, after which they will be given leave.

An outbreak of respiratory diseases occurred in the 62nd Red Banner Missile Division of the Strategic Missile Forces, which is based in the village of Solnechny (Uzhur), Krasnoyarsk Territory. Twenty servicemen were hospitalized with pneumonia in Krasnoyarsk medical institutions, including three in the intensive care unit. Another 23 soldiers with pneumonia were in the missile unit hospital. One of the patients, 18-year-old private Ivan Permitin, has died.

Two helicopters with a brigade of military doctors and medical equipment from Novosibirsk were sent to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which carried out a medical evacuation.

A check carried out in the military unit revealed 140 soldiers with colds. On the fact of Permitin's death, a criminal case was initiated under part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, resulting in the death of a person).

The prosecutor's office is investigating the activities of officials responsible for the accommodation and material and living conditions of soldiers in winter conditions, the organization of anti-epidemic measures and the observance of the temperature regime in the barracks.
