A criminal case was initiated over the death of a soldier who fell ill with pneumonia in the Uzhur missile unit. In the course of the prosecutor's check, it was established that the private died from septic shock, which developed against the background of infection. The inspectors also found that more than 140 soldiers of the missile division suffer from colds.

A criminal case was initiated over the death of a soldier who fell ill with pneumonia in one of the missile units of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by the press service of the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
During the prosecutor's inspection of the Uzhur missile formation, where an outbreak of pneumonia occurred, the reasons for the death of Private Ivan Permitin, who died on February 7 at the First Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital, were established. According to the ministry, the soldier died of septic shock, which developed against the background of pneumonia.
Based on the materials of the check, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, resulting in the death of a person). Prosecutors continue to check the activities of officials and medical workers responsible for the accommodation and material and living conditions of soldiers in winter conditions, as well as the organization of anti-epidemic measures and compliance with the temperature regime in the barracks.
According to ITAR-TASS, the inspectors also found out that colds were diagnosed in more than 140 servicemen of unit 32441 in Uzhur. The doctors diagnosed "pneumonia" with 41 soldiers of the missile division.
As previously reported, two dozen sick soldiers, three of whom are in serious condition, were hospitalized in Krasnoyarsk medical facilities. Another 23 servicemen with pneumonia are in the missile unit hospital.
